A podcast lives in a dozen apps at once, and you only get one link in the doable. So the first decision is where you send people, not how to copy a URL.
Option 1 — send everyone to one player (simplest)
Pick the player most of your listeners already use and link straight to it.
Apple Podcasts:
- Open your show in the Apple Podcasts app or at
podcasts.apple.com. - Tap or click the ⋯ button next to the show title.
- Choose Copy Link.
You’ll get https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/your-show/id1234567890.
Spotify:
- Open your show in Spotify.
- Click ⋯ → Share → Copy link to show.
- Delete anything after the
?— that’s Spotify’s tracking parameter, not part of the link.
You’ll get https://open.spotify.com/show/….
Option 2 — send everyone to a chooser page (better)
A “listen anywhere” page lets the shopper open the show in whichever app they already have, which converts better than forcing an app they don’t use. Two ways to get one:
- Your podcast host almost certainly generates one already — check your host’s dashboard for a public show page or a “share” link. Use that.
- Or make a page on your own store: Online Store → Pages → Add page, with a line of text and
a link to each player. Link the doable at
https://yourstore.com/pages/podcast. This has the nice side effect of keeping the shopper on your domain.
Paste it into Symbiotic
- Symbiotic → Doables → Follow our podcast → Add.
- Paste your chosen link into Link to open.
- Set the reward and Save, then Turn on.
Troubleshooting
The Apple link includes a country code (/us/). That’s fine — Apple redirects listeners in
other countries to their own storefront automatically.
Nobody’s completing it. “Follow a podcast” is a bigger ask than “follow an account”: it implies hours of someone’s time. Either raise the reward, or point the doable at a single episode that’s relevant to what they’re buying, and ask them to listen rather than subscribe.
